Mexico is home to some of the world’s most important agave-producing regions, each defined by its unique terroir, traditions, and generations of craftsmanship. Oaxaca is the heart of mezcal production, known for its diversity of agave varieties and traditional artisanal methods, while Jalisco is the birthplace and center of tequila production. Other important agave regions include Michoacán, Guerrero, Puebla, Durango, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, and Tamaulipas, each contributing distinctive flavors and production traditions.

Baja United Imports focuses on discovering and partnering with authentic Mexican producers—particularly artisanal mezcal and independent tequila brands—that have a strong story, quality liquid, and potential for growth in the U.S. market. Our goal is to create a bridge between Mexico’s producers and California consumers by providing the importing, warehousing, distribution, logistics, and market support necessary to successfully build their brands.
